JURISDICTION

The corporate boundaries of the Port of Port Isabel/San Benito Navigation District include the entire a 1400 acre site comprising the Port Isabel Turning Basin. A full metes and bounds description is available from the Port office.

PORT LOCATION

The Port of Port Isabel/San Benito Navigation District is located on the Southern tip of the Laguna Madre, 9 miles north of the mouth of the Rio Grande River, within Cameron County, Texas. The Port is adjacent to the City of Port Isabel and the town of South Padre Island which is joined to the mainland by Texas longest bridge, the 15,210 foot Queen Isabella Causeway. The is situated just 25 minutes from the South Padre Jetties and sea lanes, with no overhead obstructions. Waters interfacing with the Port include Brownsville Ship Channel, the intercoastal Waterway, Gulf of Mexico and Port Isabel Channel. The impact of the Port, through its use of the Intercoastal Waterway, extends from Corpus Christi to Brownsville and is approximately 184 miles long.

AVAILABLE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES & RATES

a. The Port of Port Isabel is served by a number of barge lines. The names, and addresses and phone numbers of these barge lines can be obtained at the Port administration office.

b. Three airlines serve the Harlingen area:

3. Continental Airlines Valley International Airport Harlingen, Texas 78550 (956) 423-5221

(c) Air freight service is available through several carriers located in the Harlingen area. A list of these companies may be obtained from the Port Administration Office.

(d) A number of truck lines serve the Port of Port Isabel/San Benito Navigation District area. A list of these lines be obtained at the Port Administration office.

(e) The Port of Port Isabel/San Benito Navigation District does not provide loading and/or unloading services. Such services are available through private operators.

INDUSTRIAL PARK

Substantial waterfront developed land is available for long term lease. Terms and conditions are available upon request.

PUBLIC FACILITIES

(A) North Cargo Dock consists of 546 feet of steel bulkhead.

(B) South Cargo Dock is 600 feet of concrete material.

(C) Two warehouses totalling 52,000 sq. feet.

(D) Shrimp docks extend to the current length of 1'690 feet.

OUTSIDE OPEN STORAGE

The Port has unimproved open and paved areas that may be leased for storage; or storage may be furnished by tenants.

BUNKERING

Bunkering facilities are available near the Port turning basin. Arrangement for bunkering may be made by notifying the Port Administration office.

INTERPRETATION OF TARIFF

The Port Commissioners of the Port of Port Isabel/San Benito Navigation District reserve the right to interpret this tariff or any supplement thereto as it may be applied to any user of the Port's facilities. As used in this tariff, the term "user of Port facilities" (whether in the singular or plural) means and includes shippers, carriers, cargo handling, entities, tenants or the employees, agents, invitees, joint venturers, contractors or contractors of such parties. All services named herein shall be consistent with the definitions set forth in Subsection (d) of 46 CFR 515.6.
