Because of our operations as the Marine Exchange of the West Gulf, the Port Bureau has a repository of vessel movement and other essential information for Texas deepdraft ports that spans more than a decade.

Project 11

Project 11 (the 11th major expansion of the Houston Ship Channel), will widen the channel from 530 feet to 700 feet using a local funding plan that is the first of its kind. The collaboration of public and private entities is seeking to expedite the process and complete the expansion within 5 years, allowing the port of Houston to preserve and even grow its market share.
