Event Details

Join us for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable insights from CAPT Eric Carrero, president of the Greater Houston Port Bureau, as he leads an informative session on the booming cruise industry and its vital significance to the Houston Ship Channel region. This FREE event is not just for current members—it's also a fantastic chance for prospective members to engage with industry leaders and explore the benefits of joining our community.

In 2023, the Port of Galveston achieved remarkable milestones, welcoming 1.49 million passengers and hosting a record 354 cruise ship sailings. With three terminals currently in operation and five major cruise lines including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Princess, and Norwegian, the Port is on the verge of expanding even further. Negotiations are underway for a fourth terminal with MSC cruise line, which is expected to accommodate an additional 500,000 to 750,000 passengers annually starting in November 2025.

The growth of the cruise sector is not just a number; it's a catalyst for economic prosperity, creating new jobs and increasing work hours for union workers in our region. These opportunities are directly linked to the cruise business, showcasing the positive ripple effects on our local economy. Don't miss this chance to learn how the cruise industry's expansion can benefit you and your business. Join us and be part of the conversation about the future of maritime growth in Houston!
