Organization Overview
Vulica Shipping Company, LTD is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vulcan Materials Company. It owns and operates three Panamax size ships. These are self-unloading dry bulk carriers with a 60,000 to 70,000 short ton cargo capacity.
The ships are:
• H.A. Sklenar (built 1981; DWT 78,571)
• Ireland (built 2018; DWT 67,150)
• Donald M. James (built 2018; DWT 67,150)
These ships generally load crushed aggregates in Mexico at Vulcan's Punta Venado Maritime Terminal and discharge at Vulcan's terminals and third-party terminals in the United States.
Vulica charters additional tonnage from CSL International on a long-term contract to flex total capacity and has the capability to transport around 14 million tons.
Vulica offers turnaround/shutdown services.
